    I bought a Craftsman lawn mower here in n April 2017. It quit working. I tried everything I could to get it started. I needed to mow my lawn. That was in mid-February. I returned it to the store on Feb 19. The mower is less than a year old. One would think, no problem. It's Sears. Just return it and they'll help you out. Not in this case.
    Manager #1 first blamed it on the "bad gas in Lake county". Then he inferred I didn't add gas stabilizer, and that's why it wouldn't start. We live in a climate where the lawn needs mown at least every two weeks in the winter. The gas in the mower was not stale. Grudgingly, manager #1 took the mower and issued me a repair ticket, only after he roughly pulled the starter a dozen or so times; the mower didn't start for him either. He told me to call the 800 number on the service ticket he gave me in "a week or so" to check the status. Never once during that initial exchange did the manager ever offer to make it right, or even offer assistance.
    On March 8, I called the 800 number on the service ticket and was told to return to the store to initiate the refund, that I would get a new mower. I was hopeful.
    Today I went to this store again. Manager #2 knew nothing of my situation, so I had to repeat my litany of woe once again. I didn't even know there were two managers at our local Sears. I got only slightly better service from manager #2. After he spent quite a few minutes on the phone with customer service, he handed me the phone. Someone from Sears customer service then tried to tell me there was no serial number on the mower, and asked if I had altered it for any reason. The question was ludicrous.
    Never once did manager #2 (or manager #1 for that matter) ever give me any indication he was going to help clear up the confusion for me because it was the right thing to do, only that it was because he had to. I left the store with such a foul taste in my mouth.
    I will never forget the terrible service and experience at the hands of both managers at the Lakeport Sears Store. I will see this issue resolved, then I will never buy another Craftsman or Sears product again. Ever. Especially from the Lakeport, California store. I've even told my family if they get me Craftsman for a gift I will return it. I am that frustrated.
